Danxia Landform
People have long ago know that Mt.Danxiashan is out of the ordinary. In the 1930s, a Chinese geologist Prof. Chen Guoda, now an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, termed that kind of landform as Danxia Landform after Mt.Danxiashan where such landform developed most typically. Danxia Landform is made up of terrestrial red clastic rocks and characterized by red walls and red cliffs. |
