Bohemian Paradise Geopark

 

 

There is a large network of marked trails for hiking and paths for biking. The "rock towns" are the real paradise for the lovers of climbing. In the Bohemian Paradise there are also places suitable for paragliging.

A large number of ponds, rivers and outdoor swimming-pools offers the possibility of swimming. In case of bad weather you can visit indoor swiming pools. In selected water surfaces it is possible to go for other water sports, such as rafting, windsurfing, boating and diving.

The people who admire horses can go to ridding-hall. In various sport equipment you can find tennis courts, golf, minigolf, fitness centres, skittles, saunas, solaria, squash and volleyball courts.

In the beautiful landscape you can go mushrooming and fishing and there are also ideal conditions for hunting. Sightseeing flights will enable you to watch the beautiful landscape from bird's eye view.

The Bohemian Paradise region offers suitable conditions also for winter sports. The skiing downhill courses with skiing lifts, cross-country tracks and winter stadiums are at you disposal.

The matchless landscape in connection with the wealth of historical monuments, beautiful architecture and folk architecture buildings and art turn the Bohemian Paradise into a very attractive destination for active tourism. A dense network of tourist paths offers to the visitors endless possibilities for walking and biking.

One of the major latest improvement has been seasonal tourist buses that link the most beatiful places of the whole region and also provide bike transport. They enable to plan trips without the necessity of using one's own car. They are linked to the selected regular trains of Czech Rails and long-distance buses. Individual routes, including timetables with options for changing buses/trains, can be found in the annually published. Tourism newspaper-Bohemian Paradise. There is also an edition of 12 recommended walking and biking tourist trails.
