The Hong Kong Wetland Park will organise a public lecture on “Geoconservation and Geopark” on 19 September 2009. Hong Kong is richly endowed with spectacular breathtaking natural sceneries such as mountains, valleys, islands and coastal features. Each of these sceneries has its own beauty and uniqueness, and some are even comparable to the famous natural wonders of the world. In this lecture, the speaker Mr. Young Ng will introduce the correlations between geodiversity, geoconservation and geopark (The 3Gs). The lecture aims to promote public awareness of rocks and landscapes, and their conservation work.
