HK Takungpao reported that Hong Kong was surrounded by seas, where fantastic mountains and rocks abounded to shape spectacular natural landscapes but some of geoheritage was destroyed. Under the co-organization of the Association for Geoconservation, Hong Kong and the Friends of the Country Parks, 8 geomorphologic attractions will be voted out from 20 natural landform candidates in Hong Kong by citizens through the Internet. This vote is aimed at reminding the people in Hong Kong to cherish the natural landscapes, enhancing civil awareness of geological conservation and hence establishing Hong Kong’s natural landmark and self-image.
