Signing an agreement of cooperation and communication with Bergstrasse-Odenwald

Visiting the Nature Park Eisenwurzen in Austria

The investigation group from Lunshan Mountain Geopark(P.R. China) investigated and friendlily visited the European Geopark Bergstrasse-Odenwald in Germany and the Nature Park Eisenwurzen in Austria in September 2007, in order to expand the association and cooperation with European geoparks. The working staff of these two European geoparks warmly welcomed and sincerely received the investigation group. During the visit, the investigation group carefully studied the management experience of European geoparks, extensively communicating with hosts, timely promoting Lushan Mountain, signing an agreement of cooperation and communication with European Geopark Bergstrasse-Odenwald, and interviewing the Austrian geoscientist — Dr. Werner • Janoschek who is old friend of people of Lushan Mountain as well as the former secretary-general of International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS). Thanks to European friends, the investigation group visited multiple geologically scenic spots on a long route and learned a lot within limited time. The investigation is fruitful and successful.
